As the builder of my own new building, a healthy indoor climate was particularly important to me right from the start. After intensive research, I opted for the clay climate ceilings from ArgillaTherm – and in retrospect, I can say that it was absolutely the right choice!
I carried out the installation on the concrete ceilings myself. Thanks to the well-thought-out system elements and the clearly structured instructions, this was easy to do even for a layman with some technical experience. The elements were easy to attach and fitted exactly, which made installation very efficient.
What particularly impressed me was the combination of ecological construction, easy handling and the excellent indoor climate, which has a noticeably positive effect on the feeling of living. The thermal storage capacity of clay ensures pleasant temperature regulation – both in summer and winter. The material also helps to regulate humidity and has a sound-absorbing effect – real added value!

After an energy consultation in our large house from 1958, we had high-quality new wooden aluminum windows installed in 2022, and an air heat pump was to replace our gas floor heating in 2023. Of several companies contacted, only one responded to ask whether it should be a completely new heating system. When they said yes, we never heard from them again. Finally, our long-standing local plumbing and heating contractor, Bohres, was willing to get involved.
As we only had radiators on the top floor in a granny apartment, most of the rooms and corridors had to be fitted with new heating elements. Until then, the second floor had been heated by a shaft from the tiled stove on the first floor, which was fitted with gas heating modules.
We found radiators annoying and space-consuming. So, after thorough research, we came up with a ceiling heating system, which Bohres has hardly any experience with. Nevertheless, our contact person, Mr. Avola, was prepared to tackle the project and presented us with a good offer. In the meantime, we had done some more research and came across the Argillatherm ceiling heating system, which appealed to us. This was completely new territory for our heating engineer. Nevertheless, we embarked on this adventure. Mr. Lange from Argillatherm found Mr. Avola’s calculation to be oversized.

Finally, Argillatherm recalculated and we received a good offer. We were also happy to accept the offer of a building service arranged by Mr. Lange to carry out the ceiling work. Coordinating the work of our heating engineer and the Rutkowski building service was not easy. The work also had to be carried out at different times, and the leak test could only be carried out after the ceilings had been completed. There was a leak in one room, but Mr. Rutkowski quickly fixed it. In any case, the men worked well, quickly and reliably. We then painted the ceilings and walls with clay paint ourselves. The clay paint was great to work with!
After we were able to put the heating system into operation in time for the heating season last year, we realized that the ceiling heating system from Argillatherm had not promised too much. We have a great indoor climate and were able to turn the heat pump settings down twice. Now we’re curious to see what it’s like when the cooling is used. In any case, we are delighted that we chose this system and are happy to recommend Argillatherm to others. (Translated)
